JFMee was born to a family of Norwegian songwriters family in Trondheim. He was the fourth son in the family. His mother chose to keep him out of the music industry and pressured him to become a doctor, a promise that JFMee tried to keep until his mother died when he was 21.

JFMee had hidden a lifelong desire for creating music. As a result, he decided on a life of intense exploration and started forfilling his dream.
