Beautiful tune by Stephen Duffy, released under the name Duffy in 1998. B-side of single '17', which got nowhere near the charts. Stephen Duffy has since made a fortune writing songs with Robbie Williams. Duffy's music, both as a solo artist and part of his band The Lilac Time is definitely worth checking out.

  • When I said cduniverse I was talking about the cduniverse web site, I tried to type the actual web address but the youtube filter wouldn't accept it. apparently you can't put 3 w's together or it triggers some filter.

  • @tommyleehog Thx! Btw, do you speak French? I ask cos I just went to your channel & saw you're American, and yet you put the accent on the ''e'' of 'Désir'. Oh, btw, when you say this site, you mean her site? Or cd universe?

  • @daypeshmodd I haven't seen a youtube of it... it is off her album called "Désir Plaisir Soupir", you can go to this site and hear a sample of the song at cduniverse

    Is also available off Napster.

Merci d'avance.

  • @tommyleehog I realize I'm replying to you a long time after your post but I wanted to ask you about that other version you mentionned. I did a search on YouTube for the duet with Diane Tell & it's nowhere to be found. Have you seen it? Thx.

  • Stephen Duffy deserves more exposure and acclaim than he gets. He's truly a brilliant musician.

  • The duet with Diane Tell (same song) that came out prior to this version is much better. His voice was the reason this one never made it to the charts, he might be able to right but he can't sing that well and this version sounds a bit draggy .
