Try playing the actual arcade version.
When they created this game they were thinking of how to RIP OFF your quarters.
Try playing with cheats on and you will know what I mean. Mater of fact try playing all of the old arcade games in Mame with cheats on and you will find they become damn near impossible. Some even fail after some of the higher levels because you were never meant to ever get there...like Star Trek Simulator. Anyway, love how the sound gets faster to trip you up.

This game was one of the greats. Playing with two players was the best, you needed extreme concentration and cooperation.
Tail Gunner was another game, also vector, also a blast.

This was the first game that really got the heart rate up with that pulsating sound effect speeding up faster and faster with the invaders. I remember the crowd always forming behind us as we played.
