A woman's love, the greatest love song for lesbians ever written..it's because she's a woman..

Hi. Mary B was the woman who taught Alix horseback riding when Alix was living with Liza and Adrian in the country. Mary became a personal friend and, unfortunately, became ill with facial cancer. After what Alix always saw as unecessarily brutal treatment Mary's life hung in the balance. Alix wrote the song to celebrate Mary's strengths. Much later, Mary recovered and was able to teach again. When Alix got back from tour she would ask,"did you sing my song?". It's a beautiful song. I love it.

@MultiCull No, no one did. I'd appreciate it! I wonder about who Mary B was every time I listen to the song!

@23SarahBeth Did anyone answer you question from a year ago about who was Mary B. If not, I can tell you a bit but don't want to go over old ground. xx

I'm so happy to hear other's wonderful comments of these fine and true women musicians. Ferron remains my fave because of her haunting lyrics...well, and she can Play that guitar like nobody's business!
