Featuring Cole Gage on the Weber mandolin. Originally played by the David Grisman Quintet.
Audio recorded on a pair of Audio Tecnica AT2050 mics. We are both picking with Wegen medium mandolin picks.
Enjoy!

  • "is that the way it's supposed to sound?" what kinda question was that at the tail of this vid?! lol.

  • @888Murf we had just recorded a take which ostensibly sounded fine but had some annoying imperfections--which is why our videographer was unsure if this take was better.

  • always amazing. where do you find your friends?

  • @banjopicker88 thanks!

all at my high school, if you could believe it. it was a high school of 3,200 kids though, so the odds were in my favor.

  • I had to watch this a few times to absorb all the greatness of it! You have super long fingers! Or maybe I have super short fingers... Anyways, awesome job! You rock, and the mandolin guy does too!

  • @nornielovesavetts thanks! i actually do have rather long fingers. this comes in handy.
