Yes a wah-wah set at a low modulation with plenty of reverb to create a sense of movement. Most of the riff is muffled.

@ThomasSheridanArts - Could you try something with a boss hyperfuzz, compressors and a chorus with an analog delay afterward?

I now use a ZOOM multi effects which has everything but is complicated to program and a BOSS yellow distotion pedal I have had for years. I used more or less the same set up you mention here when I was with The Children Zoo along with a beautful sounding Memory Man analoge delay.
