In the 1916 acoustical recording of this nocturne, de Pachmann begins at bar 26. This allows him to take a slower tempo that would fit on a 78rpm record. I suspect that this is the tempo that de Pachmann played it in performance. The 1916 recording does not include the unwrtten (and historically important)embellishments that are present in the 1925 recording. However,de Pachmann's left hand is far steadier in the 1916 recording than the 1925 electrical. Both are gorgeous, but those little left hand adjustments,in the 1925 electrical recording, somewhat mar an otherwise mesmerizing performance. During this same recording session in June 1925,Hayes England, de Pachmann also recorded the Nocturne in B Op. 32 No.1 with comments. I have previously placed this on You Tube. Both were recorded on de Pachmann's Baldwin piano.
