Re-done 'cuase it was so fuzzy. Way better now but still not the greatest audio or video "Even socialising is an agonising process. Carrie Snodgress, the softly spoken actress who dated Young from 1969 to 1975, says: "I remember most nights I would go out and invite down the folks from the local mountain to supper." One night, Young came back from a walk. The guests stood up to attention. "And I'll never forget what Neil did," says Snodgress. "He just walked right past them in the living room and jumped out of the window. I mean, he did it to be funny. But on another level it horrified him to be thought of as a presidential figure."

Young laughs fondly as he listens to the tale. "It might be shyness, I guess," he says, eventually. "I guess I'm just uncomfortable. I'm not really very sociable when it comes down to it." He winks: "That may come as a huge surprise. But just hangin' out with a bunch of people? I can't do that. All those voices - which one do you listen to first? If I'm on the phone and the other line goes, I have big problems. I can't just switch between conversations like that."

He watches me light a cigarette and says: "I tell you what I think.

I think I should be lying down on a couch for this interview.""

From another Neil Interview:

Neil Young: the quiet achiever
May 11 2002
The Guardian

Lyrics to: "This Note's for you" By Neil Young. Played with the "Blue Notes"

Don't want no cash
Don't need no money
Ain't got no stash
This note's for you.

Ain't singin' for Pepsi
Ain't singin' for Coke
I don't sing for nobody
Makes me look like a joke
This note's for you.

Ain't singin' for Miller
Don't sing for Bud
I won't sing for politicians
Ain't singin' for Spuds
This note's for you.

Don't need no cash
Don't want no money
Ain't got no stash
This note's for you.

I've got the real thing
I got the real thing, baby
I got the real thing
Yeah, alright.

  • This is recorded from the TV, I have a great copy that I need to find and upload.

He is talking about Molson Beer and not Molton you dumb fuck.

  • I look forward to it if you can find it.

And yes this was recorded straight from a vhs tape Ihave (tv yes) ~cg

  • Neil Young

  • it's better to burn out than it is to rust?

burn out may be better but I don't see Neil doing that anytime soon. He seems impervious to both. ~cg

  • Agreed curious George. He doesn't burn out because he's always evolving. He's a true artist and an inspiration.

  • well said

  • I love Neil Young but he's full of shit. His concert at the CNE in 1993 was brought to you by "Molson Canadian Rocks". Don't tell he's not a sell out.

  • He is subconsciously trying to be Elvis.

  • @RosstheLoner LMAO
