@blargd Name a team that has a greater diversity of champions or more title battles between teammates. I really don't get where you're coming from. Prost vs Lauda, Senna vs Prost, Hamilton vs Alonso all had equal machinery, all fought to the end of the season. Do you even know what you're talking about? Because you haven't explained a thing. You're starting to sound like and old man stuck in his ways.

I hope Kimi comes back strong. Unfortunately normally it doesn't turn out that way. Look at previous comebacks like Michael Schumacher, or Jacques Villeneuve. Both great drivers, but came back and had less then par performances. Michael Schumacher still has yet to prove he can even keep pace with Nico Rosberg. I hope kimi proves me wrong.

Alonso wouldn't work well with Kimi. Kimi only wants to win and I don't think he would play 2nd fiddle unless he saw no other option for the title. Alonso has made it pretty clear over the years (not taking away form his talent) that he has to be number one driver to be comfortable. We already saw how he is with an equal opportunity team (McLaren).
