I like the original soundtrack in this movie.

Thanks, I'll go from there. I'd like to get ahold of some of the old audio and do some of my own re-creations. Been wondering what the top speed of my old Fleetwood is ??? All I need is a few pairs of sunglasses on the dash !!!!

my vhs tape sounds a bit different (same song but sung a bit differently) maybe its just the quality, anyways great upload

Secondly, which VHS did you use to get such GOOD sound???? Dang, my VHS copy you can barely hear any of this.... certainly not the tambourine or vocals!!

I wish that one day, they'd re-release the movie on Blu-Ray or whatever with both the ORIGINAL soundtrack/noises/songs AAAAAND the pre-release version of the movie which is edited a little differently.

Good job... After watching the old VHS for years I was really dissapointed the DVD had different music. Maybe one day...
This version of "Big Town, Big City" is not the version that was used in the film. It is the version that Phil Kachaturian had on his site for free download around ten years ago. The original movie version didn't have drums/tambourine, it sounded more reduced (only guitars and voice) and not as clear as this one. So if you found this on an old VHS, it certainly wasn't Gone In 60 Seconds.

@GilmoreOfTheFillmore No you misunderstood me. Or maybe i didn't say it right. The song is correct. But I didn't pull it from a VHS. I used the VHS as a reference to find the song. So yeah, this one is from that website. And it is much more clear than the original. That's why I was trying to be a smart ass and say (Digitally Not Mastered) in the title. But nice catch though. I'm glad there are some that pay more attention to the details than I do.

Does any body know who sang the song in the original "I'm runnin from the man so he don't catch me...I do hope the the man doesn't catch me...........I'm movin so fast so he don't catch me." ?????

The composer of all "6" original songs is Phil Kachaturian. Now I'm assuming composer mean's he put the score together but didn't actually perform the songs. So the original artist is unknown unless someone can chime in here with more info.
