As I recall we had one helluva time

Evolutin' our way out of the slime
Those hairless apes, now they were a hoot
"Progress!" their credo, as they wasted the land
Pollute and loot, looty pollute
"Dominion over all" kind of got out of hand

We thought when they died we would see the sky
Maybe they just didn't want it that way
Goodbye we fly, we fly goodbye, bye-bye
To live and die on another day
We never understood why they didn't like us
Cockroaches are we, but they called US pests!
Muss and fuss, all that fuss and muss
They didn't understand that they were OUR guests
