@baburjabal I don't disagree with you man, but why do you find it necessary to come in here and rain on this dude's parade? You don't love Tweedy. Fine. But since when does 'worldwide attention' determine an artist's greatness? By your logic, Bieber > Tweedy and a lot of other great artists.

@llebieck No, sorry, he's not. He's a marginally talented Americana performer who will never gain lasting worldwide attention the way Lennon did. You just like him because he speaks to you on some level, which is fine, but comparing him to Lennon is a bit ridiculous and very self-absorbed. Unlike Lennon he doesn't have that effect on very many people. Personally I find him kind of boring and uninspired; he tries too hard and still doesn't write very memorable material.

@11xzxzxz I'll say it, then! Jeff Tweedy is every bit as talented as John Lennon. I'm a major Lennon fan, and I think Plastic Ono Band is one of the greatest albums of the 20th century, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, A Ghost is Born, Being There, Summerteeth, Mermaid Avenue and The Whole Love are just as good. Tweedy is a living legend.

@11xzxzxz well they wrote it lamo, Jeff's great, but he's not John Lennon... Wilco is by far now the most talented group of musicians with Jeff writing who knows. There's only one John and the beatles, I don't think it was a contest just a great tune he liked. Yes, one of my favs too
