  • @ncdave4life You confuse what code and model are ... of course one can make predictions based on models, its not alarmism ...

  • @PlasteredDragon, there's not just one fudge factor in the code, they are all over the place. For a discussion, see:

    tinyurl(dot)com(slash)crufudgecode

  • @pubuman, actually, much of climate alarmism really is based on the code alone.

Take sea levels. Actual sea level data from the GLOSS-LTT tide gauges (at 159 global locations) shows that there's been no sustained acceleration at all in the rate of sea level rise in the last 80 years. Over half a century of anthropogenic CO2 hasn't caused any increase in rate of sea level rise. But the alarmists nevertheless insist, based on models alone, that sea level rise WILL accelerate catastrophically.

  • The "fudge factor" is in the code but not used. Lines that reference it are commented out. It is test data probably used to test this module independently of other modules that might not have been functional yet. The reviewer in this video is a quack not to have noticed this.

  • You can type sigma notation into any of a dozen commercial data analysis products and they'll spit a graph out in seconds. So the question is why would you need a custom built app? Especially one that selectively multiples vectors by a fixed scalar value.

  • A lot of scientists are not good programmers, and they are honest about it. Nothing is based on the code alone, and that's why the peer review system exists... this is a storm in a tea cup type thing.. but then journalists are idiots.. so what can you expect from them?

  • Wow. From the mouth of babes.

  • Google Hurricane Erin and 9/11 if you want to find out about the climate issues no one is discussing.
