The sad thing is, EOD is a volunteer job!!! They only make 2 mistakes, choosing the wrong wire lol, and the other is PICKING THE JOB

Disadvantages of EOD (Marines version): having to wear that ridiculously heavy suit in 120 weather and getting blown up.
Advantages: quick promotions, and if you decide to get out you pretty much have a job waiting for you on the civilian side.

The reason why the guy is pretty far away from the road is because he's looking for a possible command wire that maybe ran from the IED. The IED its self was placed near the road, the reason for the suit is because of the of high chance of a secondary explosive near by. I have much respect for EOD though.

WHY THE FU>CK DO STUPID PEOPLE LEAVE STUPID COMMENTS, yes the us army DOES this do you know how I know? CAUSE I WAS THERE YOU IDIOT! Sweet jesus I have never seen a contracter do anything but sit on there fat asses makeing crazy amounts of money and maybe just maybe cruise down the road shooting at random shit acting like total idiots.......
