@bomen168 Being as the Dynamites and the Greek Chorus in this show play pretty much the exact same role and are both wearing what would have been in style at the time, just as much as anyone else.

Actually honestly, the man eating flytrap plant has always been a standard cliche of sorts since well, the flytrap was discovered.
