Finally found it. I'm sure she could have broken the US market with performance like that on PBS. She has a niche with African where Indian movies are popular. You are too young to have this extensive collection.

actually, i am surprised no one has tried harder to market her to the north american audience. maybe not as a top 10 artist, but as a world artist especially through pbs and perhaps major concerts throughout north america

at some point i will upload the version from the film. the actress was madhubala and it's filmed in black and white, but shot like old school hollywood movies... and she just looks radiant. plus asha's young voice was very sweet too
