@fullmoondrivein Port Adelaide were the Magpies in the SANFL, and Collingwood were and always have been (and always will be) the Magpies in the VFL/AFL. When Port joined the AFL they couldn't be called the Magpies because obviously the name was already in use. So they called them the Power.

@RobertsNetworkCom They came to Victoria to play so they could be part of the Big League and get a chance to move up from the Bush league. I'd say that if Port Adelaide won 37 premierships in the SANFL, then the competition must have been seriously poor. It's more about the opposition being weak, than Port being good.
