Do what I'm doing. I'm going through the Village-Volunteers-Internation al and am raising funds to go work over in Kenya this summer.

If your doing volunteer service, your flights and all other expenses become tax decuctable as well.

Just came back recently from a trip to Montana last summer on an Native American Reservation. Was an amazing expirience and I'm hoping my next will be even more amazing.

Had to take the amtrak all the way from NJ though...Wasn't fun lol.
