A two-man team uses a 'thermite' charge to form molten steel that pours into a mould over the gap between steel rails and joins them. Done at night, this is a spectacular light show that overwhelms the CCD in the camera. Filmed after requesting the approval of the two workers, and getting their advice as to where to stand in order to be safe.
Gosh, these guys must be really inexperienced. Everyone knows, that since 9/11, all you need for melting steel is a can of kerosene and a hammer made of alluminium.
