Christmas 2010 Organ Carols. My Hammond S-6 Chord organ is from the 1950's. The Leslie organ speaker is a model 760, and is from the 1970's. I'm Drew B52, and I am from 1969 : ) 7 Familiar Christmas carols are played.

  • i loved it great I have always wanted a antique pump organ but I couldnt afford one and I prolly wouldnt be able to find one that works,,,only in my dreams will I ever get one,,,

  • @Dolphindream15 Thanks for your comment Dolphin. I have a friend who owns a pump organ. Pump organs tend to be fairly weak sounding unless you install a blower. They are very cool though.

  • Its amazing what you can do when you try, There's a lot of old hammonds out there screaming to be repaired, I wish I knew how to fix one it would come in handy! I use to teach in a shop and used to wish i could afford the latest models now you can get them so cheap on ebay its well worth having a small collection, I tried the accordian to but could not master it might give it another go some day!

  • @thinggybob If you go to regular auctions ---household auctions that are at someone's home, or an auction house that's selling household stuff----meaning not a high end auction house, you can find Hammond organs for next to nothing. You just have to go on a regular basis to find one. My first chord organ was $160 at a home auction, but I found the 2nd one (that I used for parts to fix the first one) at an auction center for only 1 dollar. I have a Hammond M-3, for $15.

  • you know you could become an accordionist its got to be similar with the chords?

  • @thinggybob Thanks for your comments Bob. Yes, an accordion uses a similar chord pattern, with the same size chord buttons. It would take me a while to learn, but yes, it's related.

  • Lovely, Drew!

  • @ccccanada Thanks Doll. I played long enough trying not to make mistakes, that I don't think I have to play any of these songs again for quite a few years, lol. I DO like the Christmas feeling from traditional music, but playing this organ that I restored is also special feeling to me. It's not much of a rockin' roller, but it's still cool to play with. Merry Christmas babe. XOXO : )~
