Trying to capture a video of the fire truck, I almost captured a video of an accident! Marquette University - Milwaukee, WI.

@flammabletube You must not be in the Fire or EMS service. There are devices that change lights and they have been around for a number of years. They are called opti-coms.

@XxNINJA636xX Yes I am being very serious there are too many police fire and ambulance and other emergancy vehicle crews being injured and killed all over the world because of idiot car drivers and yes I know EV drivers have to take care but the other idiots do not

@flammabletube Are you being serious? Because there definitely is a device that does exactly what you just said. Some older traffic lights are not equipped with the device that picks up the opticom though.

I wonder if all police fire and ambulances could be fitted with some sort of device that works when the lights and sirens are activated the device would turn all traffic lights within a certain distance to red in all directions sure would save drivers from having to go thru what both drivers in this vid had to

I am not sure what state you are from, but in my state ALL emergency vehicles must drive with due regard. No where will you see that all fire/ambulance/police have to come to a complete stop; moreover, if you look at the video, the fire truck was in view of that lane for about 200. Driver inattention? oh yeah.

@dsfryda Same here. Asking for the Right Of Way...but it never made sense if your asking for it yet the person can still get a ticket. I say, lifes are in danger, you better pay attention when driving, and let those men and women pass.
