Hydranautics was founded in 1963 and entered into the reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment field in 1970. In 1987, Hydranautics became part of Nitto Denko, a multi-billion dollar corporation headquartered in Osaka, Japan. With nearly 400 employees Hydranautics is headquartered in Oceanside, California with sales and technical services offices around the world. Hydranautics manufactures reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF) membrane products and microfiltration (MF) for water treatment applications around the world, helping municipalities meet increasingly stringent regulations and ensure the highest water quality standards for their communities. Membranes are either spiral or capillary configuration and available in a variety of diameters and lengths to meet a wide range of applications. Hydranautics is one of the few membrane manufacturers to achieve ISO-9001 Quality Systems Certification, underscoring their ongoing commitment to providing customers with the highest-quality membrane products and service available.

Nitto Denko filed their first membrane casting patent in 1974; since 1980 Nitto Denko and Hydranautics have filed a total of 64 additional patents in membrane technologies-- more than any of our competitors. The resulting membrane technology provides solutions for customer's most demanding water treatment needs.
