Our custom built Retractable Screen Doors are attached to the exterior frame or the interior frame of a doorway or window. Rather than swinging out or sliding to the opposite side as with traditional screens, the screen is gently pulled out of a slim casing when in use and is retracted back into the housing when not in use. On one end, the screen mesh is attached securely to a roller tube that spins on an axis within the assembly's housing. On the other end, the screen mesh is attached to a pull bar that is used to stretch the screen material across the opening by riding along two t-track rails. The t-tracks create a tight seal and a pull bar lock system that prevents the pull bar from coming off the rails. Once deployed, the pull bar is fixed in place by one or more magnets installed on the side opposite the housing canister. When not in use, the screen mesh rolls safely, slowly and quietly into its protected housing.
By design, the mesh on all Retractable Screens in the industry is not attached at the top or bottom of a vertical application which allows the screen to roll into the housing when retracted. On a horizontal application the mesh is not attached on the left or right. Additionally, our durable Retractable Screen Doors are the only screen doors designed with an enclosed back on the housing canister to keep debris out of the spinning components, adding years of convenience and pleasure to your doors plus a finished look not only from the front but always from the back.
