This videos shows how a wooden floor should be sanded, if needed, prior to a treatment with Timberex Wood Finishing Oils.

PLEASE NOTE: This videos is only intended as a guideline. The methods and tools shown might not be available in your area. ALWAYS read the product datasheets for more information before starting. The datasheets can be downloaded from our website www.timberex.com

We usually recommend a 3-step sanding process, starting with a coars grade sandpaper, then a sandpaper with 20 grit finer sandpaper, finishing off with grit 100 for coloured oils, grit 120 for non-pigmented oils. Any finer sanding could prevent the oil to penetrate the surface and shortend the expected life-expantency of the treatment.

A correct sanding of a floor demands good skills. If in doubt, consult your local floor contractor.
