I demonstrate how you can give Ubuntu a Linux Mint type theme using the Blubuntu theme. I also demonstrate how you can give Ubuntu a Windows Vista type theme using the Moomex theme. I then demonstrate how to install a nice icon theme set called Vamox-Celeste.

Blubuntu terminal instructions:
sudo apt-get install blubuntu-look blubuntu-theme gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks

Moomex theme:

Vamox-Celeste icon theme:

Thanks to TheFusionIcon for telling me about the Blubuntu theme.

  • thanks man.

I've installed it and it looks great.

  • Fantastic!! Have you checked out the themes at francois(dot)vogelweith(dot)com? Great installer on that...

  • Nice combination! We design Vamox with a GTK based on the nodoka engine, but the icon theme can me used with a clearlooks if you dont want to install nodoka engine. Thanks for the nice comments :)
