Bimmer Challenge #1 Z4M coupe 1-28-2012

Jan 28, 2012. First official Bimmer Challenge event in 2012. This is the first track day of the year for me, and the very first time I timed myself driving the Z4M at BW13cw. I am quite pleased with the results. ^_^

Mark, this is Nick! Nice driving! U really should get 4.1 gear! It's better in buttonwillow, I did a 2:04.5 in my M3 with just gear and RE exhaust. and I think it could go a little faster

Wow, excellent time in your nearly stock E46 M3! I thought about the gears, but don't know if I want to spend any more money on my car. Need to drive it more first.

I was in the white Z4 M coupe I am pissed that you ran that fast with street tires, well more like jealous. Great run, I ran 2.036. What are your spring rates front and rear and alignment setup? Also are you running stock diff? I noticed you shifted into 3rd then 4th out of the off ramp into Cotton Corners. I do not even redline or barely so at that point do you really need 4th there? Great to meet you and great driving hero! Try running 245 front/275 rear with R comps!

Thanks Brad! I had a great time last Saturday. My spring rates are 570 all around. Alignment setting is 2.7*F/2.2*R camber, 0 toe in front, 1/8" toe in rear. Stock gearing, diff, and LSD. I don't like to hold redline, so I kinda short shifted early into 4th coming out of the off ramp. I guess I was so used to doing that in my S2K, so I continued with the same shifting points in this car. LOL. And yeah, R comps are definitely in my future.

Your having to put a lot of steering imputs in during almost all the turns. It looks like the course might have been bumpy and there were a lot of pavement changes?
