EXELENT QUALITY!!
Mark knopfler- brothers in arms mark knopfler from dire straits playing live
NPR (National Public Radio)
Studio live "World Café"
year 2007

lyrics:
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day youll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And youll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
Ive watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

Theres so many different worlds
So many differents suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the suns gone to hell
And the moons riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But its written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
Were fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

  • The title of the movie says "Brothers in arms - Mark Knopfler (live rare) world cafe.

I would not define that as rare. If you can find a recording of Dire Straits back when they went under the name "Cafè Rockets", then we can talk :P

  • happy now?? lol

  • @davonthelake Perfectly put - "musical masturbation", that describes so many of them "greats" out there, and can never be used in the same sentence with this man, I hope you dont mind if I'll be using it from now on (you'll get the credit, of course, each time)

  • @blackfang82 .....uhhh hey blackfag it's still a great tune. *lol*

  • This is music.

The lyrics touch those who can relate to them.

Me, I'm really enjoying the guitar playing and good singing.

    God bless Mark Knopfler.

  • @emognr87 wasn't it the Café Racers?

  • I'm already LVL 54, and have around 75 million coins. I've truly just been trying to play for two weeks. Those that wish to know how I got that far look at beatcafeworldXcom (replace X with . )

  • @oldfart4751 And this is a great piece of music, great lyrics and outstanding rhythm. This song is a case of where what they left out was as important as what was left in to use a phrase from Eddie and the Crusiers. The solo is well thought out and not a case of musical masturbation so to say.

  • @oldfart4751 Notice I said "might not get it" I did not say wouldn't get it. It would have been arrogant of me to say didn't but that is not what I said.

  • @davonthelake That's arrogant! I never been a soldier combat or otherwise, but I and probably most other people get it. Interesting to know what facts or research you base your comment on, or is it an assumption?

  • the power and feeling of this song gives me chills!, not to mention the les paul :)

  • cafe racers where not the dire straits it was a school band where mark was playing in but cafe racer where not john david and pick whiters that was later
