  • howd u get this video ?? i never get it !

  • @pirate5046 Got the video by going into the game files and taking it out and converting it. In the game its a random occurrence, sometimes based on skill, other times luck.

  • i don't need no assassin to kill the pope. I just send an army.

  • @jediassasin9 My friend, it is not a matter of need. It is a matter of sending a message none can deny.

  • @NukeCannon I haven't really played this game, so I wanna ask you... why kill the pope, how does it benefit you?

  • @WrathofKhanII If you are excommunicated by the current pope, and you kill him, you are no longer excommunicated. Also if you wanted to try and replace the pope with one from your country, you kill the current and force a papal conclave; and try and get your Cardinal elected.

  • sorry about my spelling im on my phone

  • @TaintedMustard this is what i did i took rome which excommunicated me but after you reconcile the will be forced to have a small milatary force just out side rome. so if you dont get elected for pope you just send an army to kill the other pops till you get voted in.

  • @WrathofKhanII In a nutshell, being in good with the Pope will give you some measure of protection against Catholic factions, while having bad standing with him will invite their wrath, including possible Christendom-wide Crusades being called against your lands.

  • @WrathofKhanII Any time the current Pope dies, all excommunications are wiped clean and a new Pope is elected from among the Preferati (the three highest-ranked Cardinals in the College of Cardinals). If the new Pope comes from your faction, your favor with him will be the highest possible, while his favor with your enemies will tend to be lower, especially if they had their own Cardinals vote against him.

  • @WrathofKhanII If you have high favor with the Pope, you can receive various missions and rewards from him, and he will be much more forgiving when you attack Catholic factions. If your favor is low, your faction leader will eventually be excommunicated, which means he will no longer care if other Catholic factions attack you.

  • @jediassasin9 When you send an army, you install a puppet Pope, but the legitimate Papacy will re-emerge eventually and promptly excommunicate you. If you assassinate him instead, and have a Preferati Cardinal (easy for Spain, Portugal and other Catholic nations that have lots of non-Catholic neighbors to convert), you can take control of the Papacy without that complication.
