Battle of the Bulge Diorama

1/35 scale diorama of the Battle of the Bulge at the city of Bastogne. The diorama is located at the National Military History Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is 288 sq ft (9 sheets of plywood) and has hundreds of vehicles, troops, buildings and aircraft. The diorama took almost 12 months to create.

Would you recommend building in 1/72 or 1/35 scale? I have a 1.5 foot by 3 foot area to work with. I plan on incorporating several tanks for both the Allies and Axis as well as many soldiers.

@F33RtheB33R We prefer 1/35 because it's what we're used to and our eyesight is not what it used to be! If you can build either scale, then I think it depends on how much you want to show. From what you described, 1/72 may be the way to go.

The diorama is incrediable. I am building a similiar diorama..its the Battle for Ouistreham based on the movie the Longest Day. The diorama is 7ft long and 5 ft wide. I am now at the part of adding structures. I wanted to know how you created the building do you have instructions you can send or lead me to a book etc.
