The Red Sea from the beach in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

Our tour guide wanted to take us straight from Sharm El Sheikh Airport to the Egypt/Israel border at Taba. We told the tour guide that we were not going to leave Sharm El Sheikh before having a look around. After all, why come to place just to be rushed off to a different location.

In the end he had to give in and show us round this fantastic seaside resort.

This is looking at the Red Sea from the beach in Sharm El Sheikh. It was so clear on that day, that you could see right to the bottom!

This was filmed from Sharm El Sheikh beach. It's one enormous beach that stretches the length of Sharm El Sheikh. The nearest hotel is the Iberotel Palace to this particular point. The water is amazing. Have a good time.

@craiglsimons a woman died there (yesterday) of a shark attack and many other people from europe got attacked from sharks. Its a dangerous place nowdays. The woman was from Germany and people from Danmark and some other countries got attacked as well. The reason that the sharks are there is because there are not so many fishes in red sea and because of the people throughing food in the sea! So stop doing it!

Yes. That's right. It's all over the news. Hopefully the authorities will cordon off this area where the attacks happen and move people further up the beach, where the threat of attacks is less.

this beach called (el fanar beach ) wich means the light house beach. and the attack of the shark did not been in this beach ,,it was in the beach between nema bay and nabq bay in front of regency hotel .and the nearest hotel to this beach is renaissance golden view beach resort .

Thanks! Yes, Sham El Sheikh is a great place and has beautiful, warm sunshine and golden, sandy beaches. Well worth the visit.
