Pastor Mark Driscoll in Nightline's series on the Ten Commandments discusses what people worship in America. He says, "The human heart is an idol factory." He explains what it means to worship something or someone, and how most people do it without realizing it.

@Omzzz85 My understanding of a true church washed by the blood of Jesus ,isn't religious denominations that we see walking around ,attending church every sunday ,it is not a building either .A church is the body of Christ, they are hearts of people that truly worship God in the spirit and in truth.Symbolism of the cross ,personally I still don't even think it is significant to christian faith.

@ilikevines if you think that criteria of judging idolatry, then tuning in Youtube and even holding on to your dear computer /laptop tv ,cell phone and so forth get under definition of idolatry.I think idolatry subject needs heart searching. This preaching gets us to think if other things get's more in our way or of blocking us to our love of God.

I don't judge the pastor here of what he wears .But this message about idolatry screams miles and miles ! Is this why people hates this pastor because the message hits the core of ones soul .Sure I don't agree with his concept that once save always save.I think it boils down our individual conviction through the Holy Spirit. It you think this pastor is way odd pray for him .

Beware of this pastors clothing, It speaks out, His pyramid necklace and twirly images resembling 6"s all over his shirt. Looks like a wolf in sheep's clothing to me. Do know that pyramids represent satanic symbolism, eye of Horus, Illuminati, Freemason, etc. Be not deceived. You do not need church to be saved. Believe in Jesus Christ and worship God our father in spirit and in truth

@Omzzz85 That's where you misunderstand, Christians believe that Jesus was a man, but that he was also God. That is where the Christ part comes from. If you don't understand, then look at it this way, you create beings because you want to have friends, but you want them to be your friends by choice not by lack of choices (creates evil) they make the wrong choice so you have to go down on their level to save them because you are their friend and die for them to release them from evil's grip.

@bioniclefan1995 What does it represent? It represents a man made from flesh, when gets cut bleeds, when hungry eats, when exhausted sleeps. So you tell me friend. Why do you worship a man rather than the Creator?

@Omzzz85 Christians don't worship the actual figure, they worship what it represents. Take away the figures and Christians will still worship Jesus Christ, they don't need a figure of it to worship him.

How about the cross that is held high in a Church with 'Jesus' on it. Isn't that an Idol? You can't pick on certain things and neglect others! So sad..
