This is a multitrack video of the Barbershop tag "To Reach The Unreachable Star", which is an excerpt of the song "La Quête Impossible" by Mitch Leigh and Joe Darion.

Please don *not* listen to the 480p version, because YouTube ruined the sound quality of it even more than it did on the 360p version. If you want to hear a high quality version of the recording, please listen to the version I uploaded on my Facebook account:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1083453261320&subj=1676033930

It is the arrangement by Burt Staffen and also tag no. 69 of David Wright's classic Barbershop tags compilation. I added an A1 to the final chord (which I barely managed to hit in full voice one morning) and did a lot of EQing to that note, because without adjustment it just sounded like noise.

Please also take a look at my Tube & Berger Multitrack-Jingle, which is a slightly modified version of this tag:

  • @missbarbershopper Yes, it's a nice tag, indeed! I used the arrangement from barbershoptags. com. In it, the final bass note starts with the word "star". But in addition, I sang a sub bass note as a 5th voice two octaves below the bass, which fades in during the "star". Maybe that's what is confusing you.

Unfortunately, the "star" is heavily distorted in this YouTube video. Check out the version I uploaded on Facebook (the link is in the video info text of this video) for much higher quality.

  • i love this tag! im pretty sure our arrangements are the same, but, the bass doesn't come in as early on the star at the end

  • @tommy6564 Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

  • sweet, i think i actually heard the 5th voice in this one with my good head phones on XD
