UH Sound Design Project - Step By Step Explanation

This was a final year project I did at the University of Hertfordshire, where I was given a silenced advert and no audio reference material and was tasked to do the sound design of the advert. This was the final product. I have not recieved my grade for it yet.

Sounds used were included with the Logic Studio 8 package.
Music used was a clip of Daft Punk: Technologic, from the album Musique Vol. 01 (1993-2005)

I'm wanting to study Sound Design to become a sound designer for games. This uni seems to be the only one that offers the course though.. It would be REALLY useful if you could you talk about to me about what the course was like, how good it was, and what Hertfordshire is like. Maybe even what you have done after your course.. It would be a GREAT help if you do, I need to pick a university soon D:

@Loubatron Hey there. I studied Music Composition and Technology, and the course was fantastic. The University itself is brilliant, especially with the new venue, theres lots to do on campus. The only reason to leave campus would be to get to the shops, and theres enough of those around. I would seriously recommend putting UH on your list of uni's to apply to, the staff are very knowledgable and the courses are great. I've gone onto work for a film production company since leaving. :>

This was an proper "ear opener" for me. Really well done. I'm only just realising how important sound design is. I might have actually learned something from this that should help me when my next video is done (2 weeks time, fingers crossed). So keep a lookout!

@serfox1 Thanks for replying so soon! Did you find it hard getting into a job in it, or did you get lucky? And how much networking do you do on the course (for example some courses do a years work in industry for example)? And how are you enjoying doing sound design as a career? :v
