ive never said it but the gear change built into the throttle grip is an amasing idea espesially if your like me using a tiller extention with a yamaha is not as convinient as you have to stretch round the side of the motor

own in it i struggle to hold the tiller when trying to get as far foerward as possible and if there is alot of wind its very hard and when i do gfet the nose down it is leathel jumping the waves because of cross weind but i am sure a tiller extention will help. these are 2 vids you will enjoy 1st agnes lifeboat day 2nd inflatable boats on leekstermeer enjioy!!!

what is your view on yamahas i dont like them my yamaha 4hp amh kept leeking oil from the exaust it could nt get my rib on the plane either onlyn if i got my weight just right in the boat now with this new ebngine i have had no trouble is exelent it gets on the plane with 3 adults in it but i am desprate for a tiller extention as there is so much bow rise if if on my

ya, we dont like yamahas either, the bigger ones will tend to overheat and there slow

my yamaha leaked oil from the exaust and it seemed to be coming out from the cowl seal and i had looked after it it was always stored in the uprigt position with the 9.9 i just remove for the winter now i havent used my boat for 2 month now because of rain

thanks for the ansewr to my question alot of people in the uk do have mariners espesially the coast gaurd be cause as you probarly know thier really merc's but i would say the most popular outboar over here is a mercury then yamaha even though they are crap then i would say maybye suzuki we dont see many johnson/evinrude motors over here though i personly havent seen any nissan marine there a a few tohatsus on the odd occasion usually over 75 hp and it is very very rare to see an motor over 275

cuz some lake cnat have 10hp or up so the call it a 9.9hp so u can have them on those lakes
