@Calplaya - I think you gave the perfect example of when to use flat versus gloss black. It depends on the vehicle. For me, in a stock truck, the gloss black would probably be best. If I was to turn the truck into a hot rod or street rod then it might be better as a flat black. Thanks for the guidance.
@STBRetired1 Im using the Gloss black on my project, but thats only because i couldnt find the flat black around here. I personally prefer the flat black because it gives a car a mean, almost sinister look to it. it looks all buisness, no frills, chew you up spit you out bad A@@ lol! thats my opinion, but i still like a nice glossy paintjob too, you really need the right vehicle to pull off the flat black look in my opinion. like a 55 F100 hot rod for example.
Judging by the YouTube videos, flat or satin black vehicles seem to be the "rage". I am an old codger and was just wondering why? Don't most people like a nice gloss to the paint on their vehicles? Why not use the Rustoleum gloss black?
is that all rattle can???

@STBRetired1 Satin and flat black are nothing new. Rat rods were very popular back in the days.
