Here we are on Train 728, the super express to Grand Central Terminal. Here, we are blowing through University Heights Station and Morris Heights Station and into Highbridge. We are in the front car of an 8 car set of M3's. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on October 27th, 2008.

  • I have a question Mr. FL92002 - why don't these videos sound like they were filmed on regular metro north trains that have that shitty whine and all the bing-bong noise and pathetic sounding horns and noisy allerters and such

  • oh, and why not hold out through the rest of CP8 and its "double signals" and then HBY

  • because i wanted to hold out for the next two videos, which i will post in a moment...patience, Mr. nhlives.

  • Because these videos were taken on real trains, not crappy aluminum knock-offs. Real trains have real robust sounding horns, smooth wheels for a smooth ride, real announcements by real people, real train control, and actually are real rail-cars. Crappy aluminum knock-offs have wheels riddled with flat spots, seats that are too bunched, horns that sound like dying cows, and a ride that makes the riders feel like crash test dummies. Of course you would also have to be a dummy to like them.

  • This is fun.

  • That's probably the best comparison of the two trains I've heard in a while. The M7s don't seem like a problem at first sight, and although I've personally never been on one, I can see how they're total trash. The good news for you and your line is that I haven't heard of any plans to retire the M3s just yet. That's good because as you probably know, a lot of railroads are retiring their old equipment in 2012. In some cases this is good, and in some I fear it's not.

  • yo man, this is an amazing keep it up

  • Nice video, i have never been on the hudson line...
