  • my ignition coil powered tesla coils have sucked i cant seem to make a good capacitor for them could you give me some hints about your setup

  • Secondary: 1.18 inches diam with 660 turns, 0.25 mm magnet wire, 6 turns on primary, 5 mm spark gap, 3.6 nF primary cap with polietilene metal-foil caps, dimmer -cap combo on iggy (8 microF cap), mains 220 vac. Search on the net for sgtccontest and you will find the page where I described the construction (steps 1-4). Good luck!
