Bloodsport 2 The Next Kumite review

Bloodsport II is a rather unknown sequel to the classic 80s martial arts film Bloodsport starring Van Damme. Since I got suckered in by nostalgia into buying the DVD of the sequel, I wanted to share an analysis of this movie's flaws so that other people wouldn't make the same mistake I did.

In case you're wondering about the subtitles in the footage: the first movie was recorded from TV (standard procedure on Belgian TV to sub foreign media) and the second movie has hardcoded subtitles on the DVD.

To be fair Daniel Bernhardt is a good martial artist and while not a great movie this is the best of the sequels. Parts 3 and 4 are completely unwatchable.

@Silviaflautist They even tried to get a guy who looked like jean claude van damme lmao. I remember walking into blockbuster back in the 90's and seeing this movie on the shelf and thinking holy shit they made a bloodsport II with Van damme in it!
