Folding a SINGLE Chainring BF, keeping the chain in

On my NWT 27 speed I put the chain on the largest gear on the front and smallest on the rear. When I fold and unfold there is enough of the chain lying across all three gears to pedal forward and re-establish the proper chain position. Still, I wish this was something I didn't have to worry about each time I fold.

Terrific. But what about those of us with front derailleur models? Same thing? Because the chain's always getting hung up on the FD.
as long as the chain doesn't get caught up on the chainring nuts and/or the hinge pin bolt head, it should work no problem with a double or triple chainring.

Is there not enough room to use your foot to get the chain on? A bit challenging (I get it to work about 40% of the time), but it doesn't require a glove, either.

Actually, I take the z-wrench from the water bottle holder and use it as a hook.
