have you guys ever smoked a bowl up there?

Wow, that's definitely on my bucket list now. How much does that size of balloon cost to buy? To rent? Your new gear is paying off already. Keep up the great work.

@backspacesquare Watch the "denver, dogs, and ballooning," I explained it better there than I can type here. Take care. (here's a nice tree, DONT EAT FROM IT) = LOL

How did you get the angle on the video?

@skyhawk8519 Duct-taped two 2x4s. It was about ten feet long. Dan is turning on the camera at 0:46 and adjusting the wood. Now that we have the GoPro HD Hero2, we'll be able to mount it a lot, lot easier if and when we get back into flying.

how are you able to choose where to land?
jetttttttttttttts 1 month ago
@jetttttttttttttts I get a wind forecast, track small helium balloons w/ a compass prior to launch, and observe things as we fly. The directions at different altitudes vary - a little or a lot. Using the burner to heat the balloon, and a vent at the top of the balloon (0:44) to cool it, a pilot can navigate the winds to steer to specific places. I look for cut hay fields, large yards, or country roads w/o obstacles. We get permission if we have to drive on private land.
