An actress "of a certain age" desiring a comeback role, utilizes a prop that ultimately is very costly for all involved! Knowing that she's been duped by several producers and directors from her past, she sets out to even the score! Amazing Patricia Barry stars as the initially vapid former actress, then comes into her own with the use of "The Wig!"

@jaytlr9 Can't win 'em all! I was then young enough to be tormented by this program for a long time. As you say, it is "a great story!" There is one other that makes me squirm even today: Young Richard Thomas in "Sins of The Fathers!" That was from another TV series. Grateful to hear from you!

I saw this when I was 9 and it scared the bejesus out of me. (I still have no bejesus left, and I will never try on a wig.) 50 years later, I'm still too scared to watch this clip--much as I would love to see that twist scene! Maybe on Halloween this year? I'll gather my family, turn up all the lights, have a drink, and maybe peek at it between the fingers covering my eyes.
