  • I'm so, so glad that this didn't damage my view of Wicked. I'm skeptical of musicals in dtifferent languages, just because the original is so hard to top, but this is so phenomenal.

  • Yep, it's called Shoujo Cosette. There's fan dubs of it on here, but full episodes are at Veoh and AOL. I think an anime of the book version of Wick ed would kick ass

  • @mrswuppie I think so, they do speak some English in it :)

  • Are they singing "Good news" in the beginning?

  • NYBroadwayelphie It's crescendo.

  • the chorus's creciendo(dont know how to spell it lol) is like.....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this gave me chills. great version!!!

  • @Yinga2750

Haha, you can't say that if you don't know Japanese. Google Translator doesn't translate properly. Also, it is accurate, they just slightly changed the lyrics to make them shorter.

  • @musicmanaj92 Well, DUH! Same music, different singers, different language.

  • the orchestrations sound almost exactly the same

  • I love it when things are in Japanese, and they have the Katana on the screen, it is

amazing how the human mind sees things out of the corner of the eye when paying

half attention and we find that we remember things unconsciously when they're put

    to music.

  • @525600minutes1 lol, well, it's sort of like since they weren't influenced by anyone until later, all new words were assimilated into a different alphabet/language called Katakana (cat-ah-kahn-ah). Also, the US is super cool over there so they use our words instead of Japanese just for fun

  • @bastardstakemyname I thought because Japanese isn't a romance language there weren't any similarities/direct parallels to English... You learn something every day eh!
