My Turn To Win Lyrics

What do you do when whatever you do seems to come to an end?
Where do you go when wherever you go there you are again?

how do you dig yourself out from the hole
that you've fallen in
where is the light where the light of day
has never been

can't seem to breathe with a breath that's become
so shallow and thin
it's hard to dust yourself off when the dust you're in is your own skin

another day goes away just like the last one did
can't seem to rise above these walls that I'm
surrounding myself in

always looking from the outside in
always hoping to find myself again
always waiting for my turn to win
it's my turn to win

another day goes away just like the last one did
can't seem to rise above these walls that I'm
surrounding myself in

always looking from the outside in
always hoping to find myself again
always waiting for my turn to win
it's my turn to win

  • My father died this past December from complications of COPD. I'm still smoking. I'm still trying to quit. My symptoms are getting worse. I'm now 54. God help us all who have this terrible disease.

  • My father developed COPD and passed away from complications due to it. The man never smoked a day in his life, was very active, but worked as a fireman for 40 years. Does it serve him right as well? Only an absolute moron would make a comment like that! COPD can occur from anything, a janitor can get it from years of inhaling cleaning solvents and a kid who went to an old school with asbestos can get it as well. Even a person who spends years driving can get it from exhaust fumes...

  • Just found your video, Rhonda. Very Poignant. I have End-Stage COPD and am waiting to be listed on the waiting list. Your song, voice is from the heart. I do pray that you will be able to quit. I did after 40 plus years. ((((hugs)))) for you! <3 <3 <3

  • For lilbubbles99....that whole servers you right comment was uncalled for! Dont you think people beat themselves up enough...no one ever thinks its going to happen to them. That woman put this video up to help others....I suppose you spend your time kicking people while they are down. Whats your vice? Drug addict, alcoholic, pill popper ....I'm sure you have one and some day it will catch up with you and yea anything God Deals a person like you will serve you right....jerk!

  • I just found out I have COPD...on top of a lot of other conditions...I had already started to quit before I found out.....have you tried the electronic cigarette?

  • I was diagnosed 1 yr ago and I am your age and I quit smoking 11 yrs ago, and work or 90 mins a day and eat a extremely healthy , if I was not diagnosed last yr I would have zero idea I had COPD,,you MUST quit smoking every thing else is useless with out that .
