Navy Band "Rhode Island Sound" performs "I Love Rock & Roll" and "Welcome to the Black Parade" in Times Square, NYC during Fleet Week 2007. Navy Musician 3rd Class Laura Carey is the group's lead singer. Other members of the band include: Navy Musician 3rd Class Michael Sapien of El Paso, Texas on guitar; Navy Musician 3rd Class Nathan Grard of Boston, on keyboards; Navy Musician 2nd Class Matthew Bridges of Ft. Smith, Ark. on bass guitar; and Navy Musician 2nd Class Christopher Ferris of Columbia, S.C. on sound controls.
The chick singsflat at times, but it looked like the audience liked it.
I s'pose not easy playing a gig in the street.
On the other the US Navy Band singers doing a Four Seasons medley is superb! Here's the link if you want to try it --
