(cont'd) YES. But...by a thread. It's very, very difficult, and sometimes, I wish I could just get off the "bari-train" and be a "normal" person "again." But, then...I was NEVER a normal person. I was morbidly obese, and now I'm not. This is as normal as it's gonna get, so I guess I'll have to suck it up. Anyway, sorry to go so long, but your videos struck a chord with me. Keep up the fight (I have to get urrent with your vids), but hope you are doing well. God bless!

(cont'd) so I know what you mean about those people who can make those poor choices and not pay the price. I do LPT's (3-5 day liquid protein trains) to "reset my pouch" and decarb my world (because I do love revival soy protein chips), but I don't think it's a good way to "lose" pounds and keep them off. I, too have been, well, obsessing over this bariatric after life, and it's crazy-making sometimes. Will it ever end? Probably not. Did I make goal? Yes. Did I pass goal? Yes. Am I maintaining?

Hi April: I am 2 years and 4 months out today (ironically) from RNY (I don't typically like to count months like that, but for this comment, it makes sense.) I began my journey at 316 and am now hovering around 150-155. My low was 137 (too low) and I wore a size 2, and then a 4. Now I am a healthy 6. I feel my best at this size, but the brain still plays tricks. I know what you mean about this bariatric after life being forever. It is a challenge. I don't do bread, pasta, rice, either (cont'd)

I was 397 pounds. And im a year out with the surgery and i am 205 my goal weight is 150 and i still havent reached it. Im having such a hard time.

I also was wondering do you think your body is prone to maintain a certain weight
? I think if I didn't really do anything now well still watch what I eat but I'll be around 185. Good luck on your goal...you're going on to get there!

I started at 325 and I'm 5'9. I'm very athletic and i realized my muscular legs are not going any where. I'm currently up and down around 180-185. My goal was 175 because I wanted to stay athletic and I think going much lower than that I would look sick. I haven't been on track for a while but I about to kick it up a notch.

I am female and I am extremely compulsive about every morsel the goes into my mouth. 100% clean eating, no junky carbs, etc. It was mentally exhausting for a long time, like having another full-time job. But it's better lately. I expected to "relax" a bit when I hit normal BMI, but I haven't yet. Figured why lose the momentum, you know?
Good luck to you! There's a group of us post-ops who Twitter everyday if you want to join. It's a great place to vent, get support, stay on track, etc.

I've wondered about the same thing. I started at 400+, I'm a year out and down 190 (60 pre-op), but I really wonder if I'll reach my goal. At just a year out, I find I have to work really hard, I'm wondering what it's going to be like at 3 or 4 years out. Good luck with the liquid diet.

Well you look great, and I'm so glad to see you posting vids again!!! I looked for you every day for the longest time. You'll get there - you've come this far!

My starting weight was 301. At present, I am 170 at 5'5. I'd like to lose 15 more and it IS NOT HAPPENING! I need a kick start myself. I am in a size 10 (WOW, I can't believe that) and comfortable at that size. I just really want the number on the scale to say to myself that I am a success. I know what has to be done but it's all in the doing it, ya know? Glad to see you back on the Tube sweetheart! You hang in there.
I have that unreachable goal of 130. I'm nearly six years out and this morning at 170, originally 320. My lowest has been 150. It's so much harder at long term. It just is.

How tall are you? You don't look 170 at all. I can tell now when I gain weight and where it goes... I think I look better at 150 than I do at 165- 170.. I would be happy at 150 but getting there has been a royal pain. Its always a battle.. weeeee

I am 9.5 months out, started at 302, and got to goal of 149 in 9 months. I have since revised my goal to 135, I am also 5'5". I am pretty sure I will reach my stretch goal by one year out this January. It hasn't been easy for me and I have had a lot of food issues. I also go to the gym as much as I can, and I want to start working out with a trainer in the new year. I think the last pounds are the hardest, and I can see my weight loss slowing down. Good luck with your liquid diet! :)

Yeah the liquid diet SUCKS.. lol but great job on your weight loss! I have had a personal trainer since 3 months post op and still have one today. I work out with her 2 days a week.. which is down from 3 but had to make some cuts somewhere do to the economy. I would love to be 135.. but it's going to be quite a job getting there. I stopped lossing at around 9 months after wls.. it was much harder after that. Keep up the great work!
