In April 2007, Gilbert Drake (Pres.) and Dianne Sturdivant ("academic superintendent" suddenly terminated Goodpasture Christian School's band director. Many believe it was because he posted information which parents had been requesting concerning the school's perceived academic decline on standardized tests. Here is Dianne Sturdivant putting some of the blame on www.GoodpastureConfidential.com which is a parent supported website to ferret out the truth about Goodpasture School.

Poor Goodpasture! I'm from Marshall County, and we've had 8 band directors in the last 7 years! I know how you feel. Is this why you're not hosting state this year?
