By the "Dany Doriz Big-Band", at the "Caveau de la Huchette",a tribute to Lionel Hampton in Paris, even if this tune is taken off the Benny Goodman library.
It started with a musical partnership between Dany Doriz (vibes) and Pascal Thouvenin, sax.-arranger specialised in swing big-band writting. All the musicians came from the professional jazz scene of Paris.
Good swing to everybody.

Very, VERY nice!!!!! And very similar to the arrangement of "Slipped Disc" my outfit had back in 1997 - we basically took Benny's Sextet recording and gave it a Hampton treatment.
My orchestra back then used more mutes & plungers with the brass behind the solos and a Jimmie Lunceford call-and-response flavor on the fanfare wrap of "Slipped Disc", but this is still real similar to our arrangement. "Disc" is just a perfect jam session tune.
GREAT CUT! Thanks for posting!!!
