    Mythbusters did "flushing an open toilet vomits fecal matter everywhere" one time. They bought three brand new toothbrushes. One was placed in a bathroom where the toilet was always flushed lid up, one in a bathroom where it was always flushed lid down, and one was placed in the kitchen. The results? Lid up: covered in shit. Lid down: also covered in shit. Kitchen: still covered in shit. If it's in your house, it has your shit on it.
