Robby Gordon/Michael Waltrip Helmet Throwing Incident

September 18, 2005 at the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway Robby Gordon was involved in an on-track incident with Michael Waltrip. After being wrecked by Waltrip, Gordon went onto the track and threw his helmet at Waltrip's car. Gordon then went on to call Waltrip a "piece of shit" on the live TNT broadcast. The helmet thrown was auctioned off on eBay and the money went to the Harrah's Employee Relief Fund which provided aid to Harrah's employees affected by Hurricane Katrina. The helmet was purchased by internet casino GoldenPalace.com for $51,100.
