cant imagine a world without pbs and arthur.

When they defend cutting funding to Public Broadcasting they also know full well that the amount of Corporate Welfare to wealthy companies who already pull in vast amounts of profit is grossly too high a number. But those are their buddies & keeping them in control of the wealth supports their agenda. Please contact your Representatives & let them know we support funding !

YES!
i grew up on these programs and am proud of the newer programs - what they do and have done for children is open up a world of images, information, facts, lessons + messages that complement school and books! [our] children are receiving the short end of the stick in a number of ways - when will it stop? shows like Arthur CULTIVATE THE MINDS OF THE LEADERS OF THE FUTURE and are downright amazing, entertaining and well-rounded shows!!

cancel Justin Bieber!

@dianedecembear3 there not dont worry there talking about bad shows thar kids shouldnt watch but the republicans are being are trying to cancel it. but those are not going to letr arther go away

This makes me extremely sad and I really hope that the CPB doesn't go under. I grew up with Arthur and so many other shows on the Public Broadcasting Network. :( Those shows are some of the most educational and interesting shows on television.

@bw01a I see your reasoning. The problem with letting PBS disintegrate, though, is that PBS does a better job of teaching academics and morals than most other channels.
Besides, PBS is available to anyone with a television. In contrast, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, The Hub, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and other would-be PBS fill-ins require Time Warner, Satellite, or some other Channel-extending plan. As many people as possible should be free to expand their minds if they wish.
Ugh... this is a big part of the reason I can hardly stand many of the things Republicans do. If this isn't evidence of their greed and selfishness, I don't know what is.
Arthur is a great show... but the Corporation for Public Broadcasting does more than fund cartoons. It funds vessels of academics and morals, and helps keep PBS- arguably one of the best channels for learning- above the water.
If CPB goes under, I don't know what I'm going to do.
